Lumezi St. Joseph College of Nursing & Midwifery is located in Lumezi District, Eastern Province of Zambia. The college is situated at Lumezi Mission Hospital, providing students with direct access to clinical training facilities.
The college began training its first intake of regular registered nursing students on 15th July 2019. This marked the beginning of our journey to become a premier institution for nursing education in the Eastern Province.
The college was officially opened on 15th November 2019 by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zambia, Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu and blessed by His Lordship Rt Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri, Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Chipata, signifying the spiritual foundation of our institution.
To educate and train Nurse and Midwives to become health professional that are prepared to practice and serve the community diligently.
